Spring/Summer Style 2015
Spring/Summer 2015 is set to be a season of contrasting style, with nods to Seventies style, hippy chic and military khaki. Here’s our round up of the best trends for this season, set to jump straight from the runway into our wish lists and wardrobes.
This season raid your mum’s closet for some vintage pieces because 70s style is everywhere! Alberta Ferretti, Emilio Pucci and Saint Laurent among others led the way with the iconic seventies throw back, hippy chic and bohemian lux bringing the seventies twist. We love the romantic silhouettes and big bold floral prints. Crop tops, A-line skirts, fringing and 1970s metallics are key pieces for this retro-revivial trend.
Khaki and suede is pieces have been making themselves known on the runways this season. Chanel, Marc Jacobs and Gucci all had Safari-style glamour in abundance, showing that khaki and forest green is definitely a staple for our summer looks. Think army elegance not head-to-toe khaki. Maroon is always a staple for autumn but will also be a gorgeous accent to this trend.
We all love our jeans and this season so does the catwalk. Denim made a return to the runaway in textured effects, lace-up, bedazzled and faded blues. High-waisted and flared hem denim will be flooding the high street after being seen at Louis Vuitton Sonia Rykiel and Celine. Pair your high-waisted jeans with a floral crop or kimono for the perfect spring/summer look.
